At the same ceremony where Kimball received a Faculty Research Award, several faculty members were honored for their Outstanding Teaching Awards. This award is based on student evaluations of teaching effectiveness. For 2017-18, 34 individuals were honored (not all pictured).

Enabling Extreme Fast Charging with Energy Storage

Kimball is leading a team that is researching a new approach to achieve electric vehicle charging, from empty to full, in less than ten minutes. Faculty Research Award

Kimball was one of eight faculty to receive a Faculty Research Award from Missouri S&T in 2018.

The Faculty Research Award recognizes faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in research and scholarship.  Awards are given based on the significance of the contributions of the individual in the preceding two years, as well as the long term impact of the individual’s research.
